2023 Season
The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940
By John Bishop
Directed by Patti Cumby
October 6 – 15, 2023
Friday 8pm · Saturday 8pm · Sunday 3pm
The mysterious “Stage Door Slasher” makes a dramatic reappearance as a musical comedy’s creative team come reassemble once again for a backer’s audition at the estate of a wealthy “angel.” The house is replete with sliding panels, secret passageways, and a German maid who is apparently four different people—all of which figure diabolically in the comic mayhem which follows as the infamous “Slasher” makes their entrance and strikes again—and again. As a blizzard has cut off any possible retreat, bodies start to drop in plain sight, knives spring out of nowhere, masked figures drag their victims behind swiveling bookcases, and accusing fingers point in all directions.
